Pymacs无法在Emacs24上启动

我从ELPA安装了pymacs。当我写M-x pymacs-eval并给出一个arbitary表达，它给了我下面的错误：

pymacs-report-error: Pymacs helper did not start within 30 seconds

pymacs似乎没有上班。

从github repository手动下载和安装它使它工作。 ELPA的pymacs包只包含Emacs lisp文件（.el文件），但存储库也包含Python文件，我也在其文件夹中运行了sudo python setup.py install的命令。
